NEW PROJECTS:
Richard Paul is proud to announce the premiere performance of DROLL ACADEMY, a two-man improv comedy duo featuring Dan Collins and Adam Sharf. Richard is acting as director/coach/consultant to DROLL ACADEMY which will debut on Wednesday December 9th at Drunken Monkey Cafe in Orlando, FL. DROLL ACADEMY is performing after The SEEMONKEES Comedy Crew (Richard also consults for this troupe as well) at 8:30PM. Admission is free! Currently, Richard is acting as a consultant to improvisational troupes throughout the Central Florida area. Coaching, directing, consulting are new concept positions that Richard seeks to create as an improvisational community to emerges within Central Florida. Following similar models in Chicago, New York, & LA, Richard acts a coach/consultant to help improvisational troupes realize their vision. Currently Richard stars in several independent film projects through the months of August/September. One project is a pilot for a spoof on paranormal reality shows ala la Ghost Hunters titled Paranormal Society. In Paranormal Society, Richard play a flamboyant, over-sexed, psychic medium named Biff. The other filming is a student film project with Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. The other film projects have Richard playing an Indian scam boss and an ESPN-style newscaster.

Richard Paul improvises theater with SAK Comedy Lab in Downtown Orlando, FL for the past 14 years. SAK Comedy Lab has won many awards for their live, improvised, comedic shows and featured in publications like Orlando Sentinel and the New York Times. When he is not performing on the SAK stage, he instructs regularly for SAK teaching various levels of improvisational acting from beginner to advanced. July '09) Richard will be facilitating an improvisational summer camp for The Garden Theatre titled Think Fast! The workshop will conclude with a performance by the students. Think Fast! will run from July 13-July 17 at the Garden Theatre located in historic downtown Winter Garden, FL.

July '09) SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, FL will be hosting a live comedy talk show called LAUGH!: A Comedy Talk Show on Improvisation, Comedy, and Theater on Monday July 6, 2009 with the show starting at 7:30PM. I will be hosting the talk show as we discuss the "science, magic, and buisness of improv, comedy, and theater".
