Cipher-how to decipher free-style rap...

Posted by Richard Regan on Thursday, June 25, 2009,
As soon as LAUGH! (the comedy talk show I am producing) comes to a close, my next project is to immerse myself in the study of free-style rap.  A friend of mine has been a long time MC and has rapped for a very long time.  With his help I hope to cultivate my skills.  Additionally, I would like to land some movies produced at Full Sail to nab some much needed reel.  Anyways, I have been feeling creative as of late and feel very aggressive about making those things happen.  I have also pondere...

Projects...

Posted by Richard Regan on Thursday, June 18, 2009, In : Projects
I am currently working on a live talk show on improv comedy that's to be hosted in Orlando.  Although I am still in the planning stages, I am excited at the prospects of this kind of event. I have a panel nearly assembled, all who are fantasic comedic performers who are just as fun and enjoyable off stage.  Planning seems to be the most critical when setting up projects like this.  That is what I am up against today.  So I am taking avery small break before I get back into the swing of things...

About Me

Richard Regan Paul I am an actor/improviser from Orlando, FL. I actually reside in Windermere, just outside of Orlando however still close to it all. I work at Walt Disney World and SAK Comedy Lab full-time as a performer. I also collaborate with Offsides Improv Troupe, an entertainment group specializing in improvisational/sketch comedy. My day gig is at Walt Disney World where I perform in a dinner show titled The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show @ Disney's Polynesian Resort. I enjoy cooking, having a clean home (when that happens), and socializing with fun people. Among other subjects that I will blog about, none is more passionate for me than improvisational theatre. Improv allows me to give others a great time. As I mature in this art, I realize how much more important it is to take care of yourself and giving and allowing your scene partners the best experience. If you make it about audience and your scene partners, you become less self-conscious and you enter a realm where you simply live in an effortless state of play. Joy! Bliss! Laughs! Relatable! Honest! Heart! Human! Connection to something deeper...that's what improv does for me.
