Posted by Richard Regan on Sunday, July 19, 2009,

I just completed a week-long workshop series for children grades 5th-8th at The Garden Theatre in Winter Garden, Florida.  The Garden Theatre is a lavishly restored historic movie house now converted into a live theater/cinema venue in the heart of the vibrant, beautiful, and historic downtown Winter Garden, FL.  This theater house is a truly wonderful facility that shares adjoining conference rooms with neighboring buildings, perfect for conventions and meetings. Garden Theater is run by Gen...

The After-LAUGH!: Aknowledgements

Posted by Richard Regan on Thursday, July 9, 2009,

Thank you to everyone who supported my talk show, LAUGH! that played @ SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, FL this past Monday.  The event was wildly popular and successful as we packed the 200+ seat theater for two hours of stimulating talk and hilarity.  The show was far more entertaining than I imagined it would be.  As its producer, director, and host, my initial thoughts were "...hope this baby has wings."  Instead of Icarus falling from the sky, the show was more like the Wright Bros., and had a...

About Me

Richard Regan Paul I am an actor/improviser from Orlando, FL. I actually reside in Windermere, just outside of Orlando however still close to it all. I work at Walt Disney World and SAK Comedy Lab full-time as a performer. I also collaborate with Offsides Improv Troupe, an entertainment group specializing in improvisational/sketch comedy. My day gig is at Walt Disney World where I perform in a dinner show titled The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show @ Disney's Polynesian Resort. I enjoy cooking, having a clean home (when that happens), and socializing with fun people. Among other subjects that I will blog about, none is more passionate for me than improvisational theatre. Improv allows me to give others a great time. As I mature in this art, I realize how much more important it is to take care of yourself and giving and allowing your scene partners the best experience. If you make it about audience and your scene partners, you become less self-conscious and you enter a realm where you simply live in an effortless state of play. Joy! Bliss! Laughs! Relatable! Honest! Heart! Human! Connection to something deeper...that's what improv does for me.
